If you market an OnlyFans page, you already know where the hours go: posting the same promo teaser across X, Instagram, TikTok and Threads, then trying to work out which of those channels actually sent a fan down the OF traffic funnel. This Metricool review is written for that exact problem. We are the OFM Audit Team, and we looked at Metricool not as a generic social tool but as a promo scheduler for creator pages.

One thing up front, because it changes everything about how you should read this: Metricool does not post to OnlyFans. It never has and it is not built to. What it schedules and measures are the promo channels around your page. Treat it as a traffic tool, not an OF poster, and the rest of this review makes sense.

Our Verdict

Score: 3.5 / 5. Metricool is a genuinely good, affordable scheduler and analytics dashboard for the promo channels that feed an OnlyFans page. For a solo creator or a small agency running X, Instagram, TikTok and Threads, it does the job at a fair price. It just is not a complete OFM stack on its own.

  • Best for: creators and agencies who want one dashboard to schedule and measure their promo channels, and who care about best-time-to-post data and link-in-bio tracking.
  • Not for: anyone expecting it to post to OnlyFans, or anyone whose main traffic source is Reddit (more on that below).
  • The catch: X/Twitter is a paid add-on, not included in any plan, and Reddit is not supported at all. Both matter for OF traffic.

  • Annual plans auto-renew and renewals are hard to refund

How Metricool Works for OnlyFans Marketing

The job-to-be-done for an OF marketer is simple to state and painful to do: get the right teaser in front of the right audience, on the right channel, at the right time, and know which post actually drove sign-ups. Metricool handles the first three parts well. The fourth it handles partially.

On the scheduling side, Metricool connects to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, Bluesky and Google Business Profile (as of July 2026, per the vendor site). For creator marketing, the ones that matter are Instagram, TikTok, X and Threads. You queue a week of teasers once and let the planner drip them out, which is where the time savings come from.

The best-time-to-post feature reads each connected account’s history and marks the hours when your followers are most active. For a promo channel where a single well-timed post can spike your link-in-bio clicks, that is a real benefit rather than a vanity metric. It nudges your teasers toward the windows when whales and casual fans are both scrolling.

On analytics, Metricool pulls engagement rate, reach and follower growth for every channel into one dashboard, and its competitor analysis lets you track up to 100 rival profiles so you can benchmark another creator’s posting cadence. The SmartLinks link-in-bio page tracks clicks, so if you tag your destination URLs with UTM parameters you can start to see which promo channel drives CTR and, downstream, which drives PPV buyers. That is as close to closed-loop attribution as a scheduler like this gets.

Now the honest gap. Reddit is one of the highest-intent OF traffic sources there is, and Metricool does not schedule Reddit at all. If your funnel leans on subreddit posting and building Reddit karma before you can post in the big NSFW communities, Metricool leaves that entire channel untouched. You would still schedule Reddit somewhere else. And nothing here touches on-platform work like a mass DM campaign or PPV drops; that stays inside OnlyFans or a dedicated OFM CRM.

Pricing · the Real Cost

Metricool’s headline appeal is price. The figures below are from Metricool’s live pricing page and cross-checked third-party breakdowns, as of July 2026. Prices exclude VAT for EU buyers, and annual billing is where the discount sits.

PlanAnnual (per mo)MonthlyBrandsKey limits
Free$0$01~20 scheduled posts/mo, no X or LinkedIn, 5 competitors, 30-day analytics
Starter$20$255Unlimited posts (fair-use), 100 competitors, 20 AI credits/brand, no team seats
Advanced$53$6715Unlimited team seats, API/Zapier/Make, Looker Studio, 35 AI credits/brand
CustomQuoteQuoteCustomWhite label, dedicated account manager, custom AI credits

The information-gain point most reviews skip is what the free plan actually blocks for an OF workflow. The free tier caps you near 20 scheduled posts a month and, critically, excludes X/Twitter entirely. If X is a core promo channel for you (it usually is for adult creators, since it is one of the few big networks that tolerates explicit teasers), the free plan is a non-starter and you are on Starter at minimum.

Even on paid plans, X/Twitter is a separate add-on rather than an included connection. Metricool’s pricing page lists the X/Twitter add-on at $10 per month per connected X account, confirmed on the live pricing page as of July 2026. Budget for that on top of your plan, because for a lot of OF pages X is the workhorse.

The annual-versus-monthly math is straightforward. Starter at $20/mo annually is $240 up front versus $300 if you pay $25 monthly, so annual saves you about $60 a year. Advanced at $53/mo annually is $636 versus $804 at the monthly rate, a saving near $168. The trade-off is the auto-renewal we flag in the complaints section, so only commit annually once you have run a paid month and confirmed the tool fits.

Is Metricool Legit?

Yes. Metricool is a real, established company, not a fly-by-night SaaS. It is based in Madrid, Spain, founded around 2016 by Juan Pablo Tejela and Laura Montells, and runs at the 11–50 employee scale with over a million users claimed (per third-party company profiles, July 2026). It has been in market long enough to have a track record.

On third-party review platforms, Metricool holds a Trustpilot score of 4.0 out of 5 from 581 reviews and a G2 score of 4.5 out of 5 from 97 reviews (both read live on 25 July 2026; these counters move, so treat them as dated). Those are healthy numbers for this category. But we always read the one-star reviews first, and two complaints recur.

  • Publishing reliability. A recurring theme is posts that fail silently, publish late, or occasionally double-post, especially on Instagram and TikTok where the platform APIs are strict. For a promo drop timed to a launch, a silent failure costs you traffic. Check your published queue rather than trusting fire-and-forget.
  • Billing and auto-renewal. Multiple users report being auto-charged on annual renewal and finding refunds difficult to get on renewals (initial refunds are more often honored). If you go annual, set a calendar reminder before the renewal date.

Neither is a dealbreaker, but both are worth knowing before you hand over a card. Legit does not mean flawless.

Metricool vs Later vs Buffer vs Postpone

For an OF promo stack, the two questions that matter most are X support and Reddit support, because those are the channels adult creators lean on hardest. Here is a neutral snapshot, prices as of July 2026 and billed annually where noted. For automation beyond scheduling, see our PhantomBuster verdict. NSFW-first creators should also look at PostyBirb, the free cross-poster.

ToolFrom (annual)Free planX/TwitterRedditBest fit
Metricool$20/moYes (limited)Paid add-onNoAll-in-one promo scheduling + analytics
Later~$18.75/moYes (limited)Not coreNoInstagram/TikTok visual planning
Buffer~$6/mo per channelYes (3 channels)YesNoSimple multi-channel queueing
Postpone~$9/moYesLimitedYes (specialist)Reddit-first scheduling

The takeaway for OF marketers: none of the mainstream schedulers, Metricool included, handles Reddit. Postpone exists precisely to fill that gap and is Reddit-first, so a common real-world setup is Metricool (or Buffer) for X/IG/TikTok plus Postpone for Reddit. Buffer wins on simplicity and cheap per-channel pricing; Metricool wins on analytics depth and competitor tracking; Later leans visual for Instagram-heavy creators.

Who Should (and Shouldn’t) Use Metricool

Use it if you are a solo creator or a lean agency who wants one affordable dashboard to schedule Instagram, TikTok, Threads and X promo, and you want real analytics and best-time-to-post data rather than guesswork. The competitor tracking and SmartLinks click data are genuinely useful for tightening your OF traffic funnel over time. To see the whole field, browse our scheduling tools ranking.

Skip it (or pair it) if Reddit is your main traffic source, since Metricool cannot touch it and you will need a specialist anyway. And do not buy it expecting it to run your OnlyFans page; it schedules the channels around OF, not OF itself. If those limits are clear to you, it earns its place in the stack.

Ready to try it on your own promo channels? You can start on the free plan and upgrade only once X becomes a real cost you want to justify.

FAQ

How much does Metricool cost?

There is a free plan for one brand. Paid plans start at $20/mo (Starter, billed annually) or $25/mo monthly, and Advanced is $53/mo annually or $67/mo monthly, as of July 2026. X/Twitter is a paid add-on on top.

Does Metricool post to OnlyFans?

No. Metricool does not connect to or post on OnlyFans. It schedules and analyzes the external promo channels that drive traffic to your OF page, such as X, Instagram, TikTok and Threads.

Can Metricool schedule Reddit posts?

No. Reddit is not a supported network as of July 2026. If Reddit is central to your funnel, pair Metricool with a Reddit-first tool like Postpone.

Is Metricool legit and safe?

Yes. It is a Madrid-based company founded around 2016 with over a million users, and it holds 4.0/5 on Trustpilot and 4.5/5 on G2 (July 2026). The main gripes are occasional publishing hiccups and annual auto-renewals.

Metricool vs Buffer · which is better for creators?

Buffer is simpler and cheaper per channel and includes X; Metricool offers deeper analytics, competitor tracking and best-time-to-post. Neither schedules Reddit. Pick Buffer for lightweight queueing, Metricool for measurement.

Is the free plan enough?

For testing, yes; for real OF promo, usually not. The free plan covers one brand, caps scheduled posts near 20 a month, and excludes X/Twitter, which most adult creators rely on. You will likely need Starter.

Verdict

Metricool is a smart, affordable promo scheduler and analytics dashboard that earns a place in most OF marketing stacks, as long as you understand what it is not. It will not post to OnlyFans and it will not touch Reddit, so it is one piece of the puzzle rather than the whole board. For scheduling and measuring your X, Instagram, TikTok and Threads promo, at this price, it is a solid 3.5/5.

Sources & Methodology

We assessed Metricool by analysing its live pricing and 581 real Trustpilot user reviews plus 97 G2 reviews as of July 2026; we did not run a paid account. Where the vendor page and third parties disagreed, we deferred to the live vendor page and flagged the gap.
